Mary Jo, many thanks. The article by Allan Ulrich on Gould was one of 
the rare pieces of writing that undeservedly pass away without the 
appreciation that they deserve. This article expressed cogently what 
we on this list perceive as GG's excellences. It's good to see it 
noted and to have it underlined that GG's devotion to the listener 
was a unique event. It's small wonder that he continues to have a 
following.
