     That's what I thought too.
     
     Most of you probably know that Awadadjin Pratt (whose name I 
     am almost certainly misspelling) also uses a very low seat, 
     a bench in his case.  He got the idea from GG and, like GG, 
     likes to have his eyes closer to the keys.  His first such 
     seat was actually a small table he found, but the one he 
     uses now is handmade.

I thought Gould's father *made* the chair for him. Forgive me if someone 
has already mentioned this, I haven't been following as closely as I 
should.
