Concerning GG and jazz:

This list already had a minor discussion about this.  The relationship
between GG and jazz seems to be limited to the following (perhaps others on
the list will know more):  in the selected letters there is a reference to
the great jazz pianist Bill Evans, so it seems GG had some knowledge of Bill
Evans; additionally, in an unpublished letter to Claus Ogerman there is some
praise for Ogerman's composition "Symbiosis" on which Bill Evans played.
 (The Verve release of the recording contains the blurb from GG on the
packaging.)  Also, already discussed on the list, is some jazz music GG used
in his broadcast documentaries.
