And the pianist Pierre Barbizet!

Nota bene the low personal chair, his unbelievable elegance and 'economy'.

As coincidence would have it, I spent this afternoon at work alone with Radio France
Musique which featured another Chiliean Master Pianist: Pierre Barbizet. My ears were
stunned, my brain went into high alert. This Rameau is to die for (not great sound quality):

I don't think that Kate will mind that I have forwarded her interesting message/link
(see below) to which I can tack on a little bit which I found this evening:

Hoping that this is a good read for somebody,

Subject: Guerrero and Gould

Hi Everyone - finally cooler in Chicago!
Has anyone read the book by John Beckwith In Search
of Alberto Guerrero? I don't know or remember if we discussed this on f_minor.

Here is the link
http://books.google.com/books?id=WPEvt2ZDoWEC&pg=PA99&dq=glenn+gould&hl=en#v=onepage&q=glenn%20gould&f=false

Some of its pages are cut out, but, boy, what reading,
especially the excerpts on Glenn Gould and "his teacher". Hopefully, you
can open and read through to get a glimpse of this man, whom if you agree or not
with those touting Guerrero's influence on GG's bent posture and closeness to
the keys while playing, contributed to Gould's path to musical
heights.

So, another book to add to the Gouldian
collection!

Regards,
tired Kate
