[f_minor] Gould and Streisand

What the heck would GG play for her to sing? Gershwin and Aaron
Copeland?  I just can't get my head around the choices they would agree
upon....on the other hand, she did do a Classical music record, which I
adore, and so I suppose that might have been the venue?

So does Barbara Streisand.  I recall that she said as much, if memory
serves me correctly (though I cannot recall the source).

Subject: [f_minor] Gould and Rachmaninoff


I wish that the Gould - Rose performance of Beethoven's Sonata for Piano
and Cello Opus 69 had been recorded at Columbia and released on lp. I
wish Gould had recorded all of the Haydn that he talked about recording.


From Gould's viewpoint, I wish he'd have done the Streisand Meets Gould
album that he fantasized doing.
