But I suppose GG never did any of the piano solo works of Shosty? That
was what I was lamenting...

The Shostakovich quintet is with the same string quartet that did the
debut recording of Gould's own string quartet: the "Symphonia" quartet,
members of the Cleveland Orchestra. Reissued on the same CD.
