Oh Yeah, I should have written that. This is some of my all-time favorite Gould and that Italian Ground is a work that it's just about impossible for me to get tired of.  Excellent Gould album, one of his very best, imho.

 

I just have to wonder how many other complete discs made up of assorted works from two different composers made it on the Philips series.  I haven't seen any others.

Also a bit odd that they included the entire Byrd/Gibbons English music disc.

 

Odd but GOOD! A really tasteful selection.
