[Fwd: GG, Helfgott & Dutton]

Hi!

Denis Dutton is a *sometime* f_min(er), yes. He's most known to
Gouldians I suppose for his article _Glenn Gould by himself and his
Friends_ which I've posted on the f_minor site aeons ago and is due for
some reformating. He's editor of the scholarly journal _Philosophy in
Literature_ (which has its own prominant mailing list) and is a
professor in New Zealand. He's pretty outspoken about his distaste for
the Helfgott media blitz. Dutton saw GG perform live so I'm assuming
his comments about the fact that GG did not hum come from personal
viewing experience. I've heard many more people who also saw GG say he
DID hum.
