Re: GG: Kevin Bazzana's book

You can read an excerpt of Kevin's book at http://www.gould.nlc-bnc.ca
  then click on "Writings About".

F.Y.I.
"The following is an excerpt from Kevin Bazzana's book Glenn Gould: The
Performer in the Work, published by Oxford University Press, which is based
on Bazzana's doctoral dissertation in musicology, filed in the fall of 1996
with the University of California at Berkeley.
The excerpt has a complete section, headed "Gould and the Culture of
'Fluctuating Stasis'," drawn from Chapter 2 ("The Role of the Performer"),
and deals with Gould's work and ideas in the cultural context of the 1950s
and 1960s."
