GG: Idea of Toronto

Robert Fulford, the famed Canadian journalist who grew up with GG in the
Beaches area of Toronto has written a book about the city and its development
from the puritanical haven GG loved to the cosmo city it is now.

It's called _Accidental City: The Transformation of Toronto_ by Robert
Fulford; US$24.95; Houghton Mifflin, 1996. I'm hoping to catch it in
paperback, but from what I could tell by browsing it in the bookstore,
it's rather interesting.

Fulford is interviewed in Vince Tovell's video _GG: A Portrait_ [he's
the one who made the tin can telephone w/GG] and he's the author of
the amusing article "Ladies and Gentlemen, Glenn Gould has Left the Building"
_Saturday Night_, Sept. 1992.
