Gould was speaking with his Renaissance tongue in cheek.  While hilarious, I do not hold to the bi-polar b-b depiction.  That's way over the top for me.

P.S.  How about that one video on YouTube where Glenn says Orlando
Gibbons is his favorite composer?   I really don't believe him,
although I love Gibbons (the monkeys and the man).
