RE: [F_minor] doubts



It's hugely healthy and provocative to see dissenting opinions such as this one appearing on the f-minor list.  If this list is about sycophantism, please cancel my membership.  That said, while I might be inclined to agree with you about most of Gould's Beethoven and Mozart, have you heard his recordings of the Brahms Intermezzi?  Fair enough if you think they are dreary, but then our ears, hearts, and minds must work quite differently.  And anyone who would blunty dismiss all of Second-Vienna modernism simply has not heard many of Gould's recordings of this music, or is not listening.
