Re: [F_minor] Upcoming Gould events

Hello Faye, Mary Jo, and all,

    What do you want to see at the upcoming GG gathering?  

September 2008, I heard?

Anyway, in no particular order ...

- Hearing Jaime Laredo and other musicians who worked with Glenn speak
  and/or play.

- Hearing Yo-Yo Ma and other recipients of the GG Prize speak and/or
  play about whatever they are up to these days.

- I second the wish for another performance of the play _Glenn_.

- Ask filmmakers (known and unknown) to create a short film or video
  based on a Gould recording.

- It'd be great to see more of Gould's television programs in their
  entirety.  I expect that many of us have only seen the excerpts
  published in the Sony video series.  For what it's worth, one program
  in particular has one of the Art of Fugue contrapuncti (#6) on
  "harpsipiano", which which has never been released (that I know of),
  and so is of special interest, to me anyway: April 8, 1962, the CBC-TV
  Sunday Music Series: ``Glenn Gould on Bach.''

- Lots and lots of music.
