Sony also released a complete B6 / Liszt with GG on a separate disc. It may in fact be the M and A release. I don't know. I do remember that there is quite a difference in tempo between the two recordings of the 1st movement.

I too really love these recordings. One of the projects I know was discussed for GG was a recording of the complete Beethoven / Liszt symphonies. I know Beethoven really liked Beethoven 2 and 8. It would have been interesting to see what he did with such works as the Eroica, B7 and B9 which he liked less. IIRC he also didn't care much for B5 either but turned out a rather nice performance of the symphony anyway.

Unfortunately........

There are two recordings of that, by Gould.  One of them is on the Sony
52636 as filler for GG's recording of the fifth.  The other one, having the
complete symphony #6, was on Music & Arts 651.  That latter is from the
June 11th 1968 broadcast, and has excellent booklet notes by Kevin
Bazzana.  The Sony one, first movement only, was recorded six weeks later.
