Re: Gould Variations



Hello Erich,

I do not believe Gould recorded any of the Shostakovich Prelude and Fugues
for Piano.  He did perform other pieces of his, like a  few movements from
Shostakovich's Piano Quintet, Op. 57 (which I believe is included in  Sony's
Volume VII. "A Russian Interlude"  of The Glenn Gould Collection on video
cassette) and earlier in his life made a recording of "3 fantastic dances"
with a violinist on Hallmark Records. If I am mistaken on this, please let
me know.
