While listening to Gould, we write computer applications and do computer
support for our department at UNT.EDU. Friday, I sent my most promising
employee home with Brahms Ballades/Rhapsodies and "Images." I told him
that he must listen to each CD at least twice, with headphones. If I
planned better I would have had sent him home with the Toccatas and the
Beethoven Vol.1, but I hadn't brought them to the office.

If he is not assimilated when he returns to work tomorrow, I honestly
don't know what I'll do with him. I don't think it's legal to fire
someone for not appreciating Gould to the appropriate degree.
