I wonder if the Italian Ground wasn't GG's most ecstatic recording. (Did
he ever change his mind about that being his favorite of his
recordings?) It, with the Brahms Intermezzi (esp. Op 117, #1 and the Op.
118, # 2), and the Sonatines of Sibelius are my favorite non-Bach GG
recordings.
